Delete your Wag Watch account and data

You can delete your Wag Watch account at any time. Deletion is permanent and removes your account together with the pet records you own — there is no recovery step and no grace period.

Option 1 — delete it yourself in the app

Open Wag Watch and sign in.
Go to the More tab.
Choose Delete Account.
Type DELETE to confirm.

You are signed out immediately and everything stored on your device is cleared. Server-side deletion runs straight away.

Option 2 — request deletion by email

If you can no longer access the app, email support@wagwatch.app from the address on your account with the subject Delete my account. We will verify the request and delete the account within 30 days.

Shared households

If you were the only member of your household, the household and every pet in it are deleted with your account.

If you shared a household with other caregivers, the household and its pets remain so their records are not destroyed for everyone else. Your membership, your profile and your credentials are still deleted, and you lose all access. Events you logged stay in the shared pet's history, since that history belongs to the household rather than to you alone.

Retention

Deletion of your account data happens immediately, not on a delay.
Any vet-report PDF or data-export file you generated is held in temporary storage and is automatically deleted 7 days after it was created.
Operational logs that do not identify you (error traces, request counts) are kept for 30 days for reliability and security, then removed automatically.

Want a copy first?

Deletion cannot be undone. If you want your records before you go, use More → Export Data in the app to download everything as a ZIP (JSON plus CSV) before deleting.
