Wag Watch is a dog-care tracking and logging app. It helps you record and review your dog's daily events, medications, and notes, and share that history with people you choose. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your choices. Wag Watch is not a medical service and does not provide veterinary advice.
We collect only what the app needs to function. We do not use any of the data below for tracking you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data.
| Category | What it is | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | The email you use to create your account. | Account creation, sign-in, and account-related communication. |
| Authentication tokens | Secure tokens issued after you sign in. | To keep you signed in and authorize requests. Stored encrypted on your device. |
| Usage & diagnostics (Sentry) | Crash reports and error diagnostics, scoped to an anonymous account identifier. | To detect and fix crashes and bugs. Event notes, medication names, and chat content are scrubbed before transmission. |
| Photo uploads (optional) | Photos of your dog that you choose to upload. | To display your dog's profile photo. Only collected if you add a photo. |
Information you enter about your dog — events, medications, reminders, daily ratings, and notes — is stored so you can review it and share it within your household. It is used only to provide the app's features.
We do not use your data for cross-app or cross-site tracking, advertising, or profiling, and we do not share it with data brokers.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, your dogs and their logged data, reminders, chat history, photos, and push registrations. You can also export a complete copy of your data from Settings → Export Data.
If you enable reminders, we register a device push token so we can deliver the notifications you schedule. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
