The new puppy
House-training is a counting problem. Log each potty break with where it happened and whether it was an accident, and the weekly chart tells you whether this week was better than last — which is the question every new puppy owner is guessing at. Meals with amounts catch the picky phase early.

Why no collar
Wearables measure activity, heart rate and sleep well. What they cannot see is what your dog ate, whether the potty break was an accident, or that the dose got skipped — and those are the things a vet asks about first. WagWatch is that half of the picture, for the price of nothing, on the phone already in your pocket. It works offline at the park and syncs when you are back.
Questions people ask
Is WagWatch a dog-only app?
No. It began with a dog and it is very good for dogs, but the same app has species profiles for cats, birds, fish, rabbits, reptiles and horses. Everything on this page works the same for any of them.
Can I use it for puppy house-training?
Yes. Each potty entry records where it happened and whether it was an accident, and the Trends screen charts potty events per week with a trend line, so you can see whether training is landing.
Does it work with more than one dog?
The free plan covers one pet with unlimited logging. Premium covers unlimited pets in the same household, and a pill at the top of the screen switches between them.
Does it work offline?
On iPhone and Android, yes — entries queue on the device and send when you are back online. The web app needs a connection.
Is it really free?
