Medications
A pet medication tracker that remembers the dose so you do not have to
Twice a day for ten days is twenty chances to forget. WagWatch records each medication once — dose, frequency, when it starts and stops — sends a push reminder for every dose, and keeps each one you confirm in the same history as meals, potty and how the day went.
Free to use every day. Premium unlocks the full history, every pet and the AI assistant — $3.99 a month or $24.99 a year, 14-day free trial.
How medications work in WagWatch
- Record the medication once — name, dose, how often, the start date and, if there is one, the stop date.
- Set the reminder times. Reminders are delivered as push notifications to your phone; tapping one opens the reminder with a one-tap button to log the dose.
- Log each dose. Confirmed doses sit in the history next to that day's meals and rating. A dose that was not logged is visible as a gap, which is the point.
- Look back. History and Trends show the weeks before and after a medication started, side by side with everything else you logged.
What that gives you
- Proof a course was finished — every dose, dated, in one list.
- Missed doses you can see, instead of a vague feeling that last week was patchy.
- Before and after — day and night ratings, appetite and potty charted across the start date of a new medication.
- Full medication history, including medications that have ended, with their start and stop dates.
- One record for two carers — whoever gives the evening dose logs it, and the morning person can see it was done. How shared households work.
Where it fits
A short course
Ten days of something twice a day. Set the reminder, log each dose, and the day the course ends the history shows all twenty — or the two that were missed, which is worth knowing at the follow-up.
A long-term daily medication
Daily for the rest of a pet's life is where memory fails quietly. The reminder arrives at the same time every day, and the log shows the run of confirmed doses. If the pet also has a supplement or a second medication on a different schedule, each has its own entry and its own reminders.
A change the vet asked you to watch
When a dose changes, the history keeps the old entry with its stop date and the new one from its start date. Bring the whole thing to the next appointment as a PDF, free, or as a read-only share link on Premium.
Where reminders are delivered
Reminders can be created and edited anywhere — iPhone, Android or the web app — and are delivered as push notifications to phones. If you only ever use the web app, nothing will arrive, so keep the mobile app installed if you rely on them. Troubleshooting a reminder that did not arrive.
Ready for the appointment
- A PDF summary of the last 90 days — events and medications — free, in one tap. Any date range on Premium.
- A CSV or JSON export of every event and medication, free on every plan.
- An expiring, read-only share link your vet can open without an account Premium.
Questions people ask
Do medication reminders cost anything?
No. Medications, reminders and the medication history are part of the free plan, with no limit on how many you record.
Can I get a reminder for supplements or flea and tick doses?
Yes. Anything given on a schedule can be recorded as a medication with its own reminders — a monthly dose gets a monthly reminder.
What if two of us give the medication?
Invite the other person to your household. Both of you see the same medication, both get the reminder, and whoever gives the dose logs it, so the other can see it was done.
Do reminders work on the web app?
You can create and edit reminders on the web, but they are delivered as push notifications to the iPhone and Android apps. Keep the mobile app installed if you rely on them.
Does the history keep medications that have ended?
Yes. A medication with a stop date stays in the history with every dose that was logged, so a course from last spring is still there when it is relevant.
Not a substitute for your vet
WagWatch is a tracking and logging tool, not a veterinary service. Its job is to help you bring a clear, accurate history to the people who care for your pet professionally.
