WagWatch vs 11pets
11pets is an all-in-one pet care app: medical records, a care schedule, and appointment booking with professionals. WagWatch is a daily log the whole household shares, built to show how a pet is trending over months. Here is where they differ, and which fits which household.
The short version
11pets' App Store subtitle is "The most complete pet care app", and its features page lists a wide range: vaccines and deworming on a schedule, medical records such as x-rays and blood work, hygiene care, meals, medications, vet visits, expenses, measurements with your own normal limits, calendar sync and appointment booking with professionals. WagWatch is narrow on purpose: the daily log, and what it shows over months — the day and the night rated, the day rating charted, potty and medical entries as weekly lines with trend lines, and a calendar heatmap of good and bad days.
The other difference is what each free plan includes. 11pets' free plan covers one pet and includes sharing data with caregivers and asking professionals to add data; its pricing page lists "Reminder notifications tailored to your pet's needs" and "Add family members" under Premium. WagWatch's free plan also covers one pet, with medication and vaccine reminders and a shared household for everyone who shares the care; Premium adds unlimited pets, the complete history and the AI assistant.

| Languages | English and Spanish (a few things are still in English, such as the CSV exports and the Apple Watch's potty places and meal names) | English on its US App Store listing; a 2025 update note reads "More Languages" without naming them |
Prices as of , in US dollars. 11pets gives no Premium price for pet owners on its website. Its US App Store listing's in-app purchases read $1.99 and $17.99, both named "11pets: Pet Care", with no billing period shown for either, and its US Google Play listing reads "$1.99 - $21.99 per item".
When WagWatch is the better answer
- Several people share the care and you do not want a subscription just to add them: everybody in a WagWatch household joins free, while 11pets' pricing page lists "Add family members" under Premium.
- You want medication and vaccine reminders you know are free: both are on WagWatch's free plan, while 11pets' pricing page lists "Reminder notifications tailored to your pet's needs" under Premium, though its help pages call the app "completely free".
- You want the day-to-day pattern, not only records and measurements: day ratings charted over months, potty and medical entries as weekly lines with trend lines, behavior entries as weekly bars, and a heatmap that shows how bad days cluster.
- You log where there is no signal, at the park or the clinic: entries queue on the phone and send when you are back online.
- You want to ask "how has Buddy been this month?" and get an answer from your own logs rather than generic advice (Premium).
- You want to log from your wrist: the Apple Watch app records potty, a meal, a medication or how the day went, and if your phone is out of range the entry waits on the watch.
When 11pets is the better answer
- You want your vet to add records directly: 11pets lets you invite a vet to enter data on your pet without the vet joining, and book appointments in the app with professionals listed on 11pets.
- You want the vet's paperwork itself stored in the app: x-rays, test results, blood work and vaccination records, kept with each pet. WagWatch records vaccines with their next-due dates, and photos ride with entries (Premium), but it has no place for documents.
- You track weight or other readings and want your own normal limits and a warning when a reading falls outside them. WagWatch logs weigh-ins and charts them on Trends, but it sets no limits, gives no warnings and records no other measurements.
- You want costs tracked per pet and per category, with a download to Excel, or the care schedule synced to your phone's own calendar.
- You want to control exactly what a caregiver sees: on its free plan, 11pets lets you pick which data is shared, for which pet, with whom and for how long.
- Price is what decides it: the amounts on 11pets' US App Store listing, $1.99 and $17.99, are lower than WagWatch's $3.99 a month and $24.99 a year, though the listing does not say what period each one covers.
Questions people ask
What does 11pets Premium cost?
11pets gives no Premium price for pet owners on its website. Its US App Store listing shows two in-app purchases, $1.99 and $17.99, with no billing period for either, and its US Google Play listing shows $1.99 to $21.99 per item; neither listing names a free trial (as of 2026-10-17). WagWatch Premium is $3.99 a month or $24.99 a year with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers in its iPhone and Android apps, one subscription covers the whole household, and the free plan needs no card.
Can I get everything I log back out again?
Yes, on the free plan: a full export of every pet, event, medication and vaccine as CSV or JSON, whenever you want it. There is no automatic import from another app, and most people start fresh — the value is in the pattern you build from today forward, and that starts accumulating the first day you log.
Which pets can each app track?
WagWatch has species profiles for dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, reptiles and horses, plus an "other" option, and the charts work the same for all of them. 11pets does not say on its store listings or features page which species its app supports.
Do I need a subscription to share with my partner?
Not on WagWatch: a shared household is on the free plan, and one Premium subscription, if you buy one, covers everybody in the household. On 11pets' own pricing page, sharing data with caregivers is free and "Add family members" is listed under Premium.
Not a substitute for your vet
WagWatch is a tracking and logging tool, not a veterinary service. Its job is to help you bring a clear, accurate history to the people who care for your pet professionally.
